Every year GM keeps coming up with numerous sexy new models, and every year they drop off the previous models which failed (many). Popular marketing trick to distract the public from blemish of previous tries (15+ years).




It takes absolutely no brains to come up with commercial like this one, for instance.



Example of modest & clever marketing, while giving the public another chance to evaluate long term proven quality.




"We are the best #1" should raise the simple questions in the mind of a buyer who is making their own decision.. and who is curious enough to ask themselves questions such as:

a) Why are there so many #1s?
b) How come there are so many numerous "Bests of the Bests"?
c) Should I bluntly fall for ads/commercials I see, or should I make my own choice based on my own investigation/decision?
