Mourning, caring, pleasureful and brave animals.
Scientists are still debating over animal emotions issue.
Some facts are hard to disregard. Without a doubt, this can be just a human interpretation of animal instinctive behavior.

God created humans with a boring design.
Since then, Homo Sapient is trying to improve "user interface".
Japanese invented an eye glue to add European touch.
British, naturally born with European touch, added an artistic one.

Microsoft recently patented "Page Up" and "Page Down" keyboard buttons. Amazon pulled a similar stunt, a while ago, by patenting a shopping cart button. There is still a great bunch of inventions wasting their existence by being unpatented/unmonetized.

A common misconception.
A common misconception about cattle (particularly bulls) is that they are enraged by the color red (something provocative is often said to be "like a red rag to a bull"). This is incorrect, as cattle are red-green color-blind.

Saving space in your fridge: square watermelons!
For years consumers struggled to fit the large round fruit in their refrigerators. And then there was the problem of trying to cut the fruit when it kept rolling around.
But 20 years ago a forward-thinking farmer on Japan's south-western island of Shikoku solved the problem. The farmer, from Zentsuji in Kagawa prefecture, came up with the idea of making a cube-shaped watermelon which could easily be packed and stored.
Today the cuboid watermelons are hand-picked and shipped all over Japan.
Here is another space saving idea from Japan

Food service.
Some personal observations..
Q: How does a server know that you are ready to order?
A: If the menu is closed.
Most of good restaurants have thick menus with fancy foreign named dishes. When server comes, one has to open menu again and spend time looking for his/her choice ..again.
Italian restaurants ordinarily serve lots of bread and oil, before main dish is ordered. By the time waiter arrives, people are not as hungry, thus they tend to order less than they originally planned before the bread.

Daylight saving time (DST).
Do not forget to shift your life back one hour this weekend.
Some interesting facts:
The practice of DST is controversial. Adding daylight to afternoons benefits retailing, sports, and other activities that exploit sunlight after working hours, but causes problems for farming and other occupations tied to the sun.
An early goal of DST was to reduce evening usage of incandescent lighting, formerly a primary use of electricity; modern heating and cooling usage patterns can cause DST to increase electricity consumption (power companies of course have nothing to do with this law).
Hawaii and some parts of Arizona ignore this.
Each year in the U.S., the Daylight Saving Time period closes near the end of October, about a week before Election Day. The extension of Daylight Saving Time into November has been proposed as a way to encourage greater voter participation.
